The project “Prospection d’Amathonte”, led by Agnieszka Halczuk, Research Partnership Officer at Persée, and Anna Cannavo, CNRS researcher and Director of the French archaeological mission at Amathonte (HiSoMA), was awarded the Open Science Research Data award, with special mention of the jury, on July 7, 2022! Part of the second National Plan for Open Science, this prize rewards exemplary initiatives in this field.
The goal of this project was to set up a portal to valorize the data acquired during the survey of the Amathonte region. The data respect the FAIR principles and have been entirely deposited on Nakala. They are also aligned on a thesaurus which facilitates their interoperability. All the data available on the portal is reusable thanks to open licenses, and can be accessed via the ARK identifiers.
Persée welcomes the success of this project and wishes it a bright future!
